Do you run a game based on a book, or have you perhaps just read the best book of your life and hope that someone's started an RPG based on it? Don't know where to look or advertise? Games based on any particular book are hard to find because of the specialised audience. Where do you advertise an RPG based on Hogwarts, or find one based on the world in the Sword of Truth? Where can you leave your name if you want to be considered as a player in any game based on the Blue Adept series by Piers Anthony, or the BabySitters Club series?
Here would be a good start.
BookPlug is a site to advertise any games based on books. They exist, there's plenty of them out there, but until now due to their small specialised fandoms the only way really to find them is to try and stumble across them in YahooGroups. Definatly not ideal. For a start, you have to join several at once to make up for the twothirds that are dead.
Here, hopefully, you won't have to worry about that. If someone advertises a game here, then there's a sign that at least one person wants to try and keep it alive - always a good thing. So, here, hopefully, we'll be able to get fandoms together.
